Migrating from the Beta app

ilumoni is now live on the App Store for iOS devices, or Google Play for Android and we couldn't have done it without our Beta users and the feedback they've shared over the past months. With the app now launched to the general public, it's time to move your account over. The process is very simple and captured below, along with answers to some questions you might have.

How to migrate to the new ilumoni app

Migrating is really straightforward, all you need to do is:

  1. First thing's first, delete both the Beta ilumoni app and the Test Flight app you used to install it initially. You won't need those anymore.

  2. Next up, download the new ilumoni app for your device. You can do that on our download the app page or by searching for 'ilumoni' in either Google Play or the App Store.

  3. Once downloaded, you don't need to register for a new account and should sign in using the same email address and password you used with the Beta app.

What's different about the new ilumoni app?

If your Beta app was up to date, you should see no significant differences in the new version of the ilumoni app. If you weren't using the most up to date version, you might notice updates to the design or new features, such as in-app messaging.

Will my data be transferred over?

Both versions of the ilumoni app use the same database so, as long as you use the same details to log into the new app, all your details will still be there. This also means that we're not transferring your data to a new system, and it will remain in our single, secure database.

Can I keep using the Beta app?

For now, but not for long! Now that we've completed our Beta testing phase and are live on Google Play and the App Store, we'll no longer be routinely updating the Beta app. This means that, unless you start using the new app, you won't have access to any new features or updates. Within the next few weeks, we'll also stop running the Beta app entirely so you'll no longer have access to ilumoni unless you use the new version.

Will I have to reconnect my accounts?

No. As long as you use the same login details as the Beta app, your accounts will remain connected until they reach their usual 90-day expiry point.

I've forgotten my password - what should I do?

Don't worry if you've forgotten the password for your account. The easiest thing to do is to message support directly from the app (click the pink smiley face icon at the bottom right of the screen) and they can help you reset it before you try to use the new app. If you can't do that, get in touch using the contact form here.

What should I do if I can't log in to the new app?
